(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The City of Columbia is excited to introduce its new assistant city manager and Housing and Neighborhood Services director to the public. A meet and greet event will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 5 to 6 p.m. at City Hall in conference room 1A/1B.
During the event, community members are invited to drop in anytime between 5 and 6 p.m. to meet Assistant City Manager Matt Unrein and Housing and Neighborhood Services director Rebecca Thompson. Unrein officially began his role on Feb. 19, while Thompson will start her position on March 6.

Unrein brings over 25 years of experience in local government, having previously served as the assistant city administrator and public works director in Festus, Missouri. Thompson is a lawyer with seven years of experience as an assistant city counselor and has also worked as an assistant counsel for the Missouri Department of Transportation.
The meet and greet will provide an opportunity for residents to get to know these new additions to the city's leadership team. Light refreshments will be provided for attendees. Don't miss this chance to welcome Unrein and Thompson to their new roles in Columbia's government.
