(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced that Business Loop 70 East will be closed between Edison Street and Bowling Street starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10. This closure is necessary for the removal of railroad tracks in the area.

As a result of the road closure, the Go COMO orange route bus will be unable to access the Ashley Street Center bus stop at 1509 Ashley St. However, a temporary bus stop has been designated at the corner of Lakeview Avenue and Stone Street. A map has been provided by MoDOT showing both the detour route and the location of the temporary stop.

During the closure, the orange route bus will travel east on Business Loop 70 East, turn left on Edison Street, left on Lakeview Avenue, left on Fay Street, and finally turn right back onto Business Loop to resume its normal route.
