(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia City Council members have announced a series of informal office hours for community members to discuss the potential impact of federal and state executive orders on the community and City programs and staff. The decision to hold these meetings comes after concerns were raised at a recent City Council meeting about proposed changes to the City's Strategic Plan as a result of the executive orders.

Residents are invited to attend any of the drop-in style meetings, which will provide an opportunity to learn more about potential impacts to federal funding and engage in discussions with Council members and staff. The office hours will be held on various dates throughout June and are open to residents from any ward.

The first meeting will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at Conference Room 1A in City Hall, located at 701 E. Broadway. Council Member Nick Foster and City staff will be in attendance. On Monday, June 9 from 1-3 p.m., Mayor Barbara Buffaloe and City staff will host a meeting at the Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services department, located at 1005 W. Worley St.
