(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just a few years away, the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is gearing up to welcome international and domestic visitors with their new campaign, "Kick it in CoMo". As one of the host locations for the World Cup, Columbia is perfectly positioned to serve as a celebration hub and a welcoming waypoint for travelers attending the matches.
According to CVB Director Amy Schneider, Columbia's close proximity to Kansas City and its engaged community make it an ideal destination for travelers from all over the world. "We are excited to partner with local businesses and events to make a positive impact on our community while welcoming visitors from around the globe," Schneider said.
The Kick it in CoMo campaign will serve as the central hub for information, coordination, and promotional resources. This includes a dedicated page on the CVB's website featuring information for visitors, the community, industry partners, and local businesses. The CVB will also be marketing both regionally and internationally to attract potential visitors to the area.

To further promote Columbia as a World Cup destination, Kick it in CoMo will also provide a brand kit with logos, social media templates, poster designs, travel logistics graphics, and more. Additionally, an Adopt-a-Team program will be organized so that businesses can let team fans know where they can watch their matches. Information about watch parties, licensing through FIFA, special event permits and more will also be available through this campaign.
In preparation for an influx of visitors during the World Cup, a webinar series will be launched in late February to educate community partners on how to best accommodate additional guests. The CVB's Calendar of Events will also have a special section dedicated to community events and initiatives related to the World Cup.
The CVB is committed to keeping industry partners, the community and media informed about developments related to Kick it in CoMo. They are also actively meeting with local partner organizations and businesses to facilitate collaboration, share information, and plan for the expected influx of visitors.
With the "Kick it in CoMo" campaign, the Columbia CVB is ready to welcome visitors from all over the world and showcase their community as a vibrant and exciting destination during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
