(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia residents with a family household income of less than 185% of the poverty level have the opportunity to attend the 2025 True/False Film Fest for free, thanks to a collaboration between Ragtag Film Society and Columbia Parks and Recreation.

As the operators of True/False, Ragtag is offering a limited number of pairs of Classic passes to eligible residents. These passes will grant access to all screenings and events at the festival. To apply for a pass, interested individuals can register online at the 2025 True/False Film Fest Community Pass Entry Form, call Columbia Parks and Recreation at 573.874.7460 during regular business hours, or visit their office in person at 1 S. Seventh St.

Registration will be open from Friday, Jan. 17 through Friday, Jan. 31. Recipients will be selected through a random drawing by Columbia Parks and Recreation and will be notified by Wednesday, Feb. 5. However, registration does not guarantee admission to the festival.

It is recommended that pass recipients have access to the internet for communication about the pass and festival, as well as for making ticket reservations (which open on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.). Each pair of passes includes two passes for two individuals and allows for linked reservations. Passes are non-transferable and registrants must be at least 18 years old.

Winners must pick up their passes from the True/False Film Fest Box Office located at Sager Reeves Gallery (1025 E. Walnut). The box office will be open on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 12-8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, March 1 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday, March 2 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The True/False Film Fest, organized by Ragtag Film Society, will take place from Feb. 27 to March 2 in downtown Columbia. This annual event showcases innovative and thought-provoking documentaries from around the world. For more information, please visit truefalse.org.
