(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia City Manager De'Carlon Seewood will be presenting the annual budget message for the fiscal year 2025 on Thursday, July 25 at noon. The event will take place in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 701 E. Broadway. Residents are encouraged to attend and gain insight into the proposed budget, which will cover the period of October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
The proposed budget will first be introduced at a budget work session on July 29 at 2:30 p.m. This session will also be held in the Council Chambers and is open to the public.
Community members will have multiple opportunities to voice their opinions on the proposed budget before it is adopted. Three City Council meetings have been scheduled for public comments:

The final vote on the proposed budget will take place during the Monday, September 16 meeting.
For those unable to attend in person, copies of the City Manager's proposed budget will be available for viewing after 1 p.m. on Monday, July 29 at the first floor lobby desk in City Hall. The proposed budget will also be posted on CoMo.gov for easy access.
To ensure transparency and accessibility, all Council meetings and the budget message will be broadcast live on the City Channel. This can be viewed on Mediacom channel 80, Charter Spectrum channel 992, and CenturyLink channel 96. Additionally, a live stream of these events will be available with a link posted on CoMo.gov/broadcasts.
