(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ As the new school year approaches, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) is offering back-to-school vaccinations to ensure students are ready for the upcoming academic year. Parents and guardians are encouraged to schedule appointments by calling 573.874.7249.

According to PHHS, it is important for parents to check with their child's healthcare provider or with PHHS to determine which vaccines are needed, especially for those entering kindergarten, eighth grade, or 12th grade.

In addition to weekday appointments, PHHS will be hosting two special back-to-school vaccination clinics at their location on 1005 W. Worley St. on August 9th and August 16th from 9 a.m. to noon. These clinics will be by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling 573.874.7249.
