(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is gearing up to host a Youth Summit on April 7th at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC). The event, which will run from noon to 2 p.m., aims to educate young residents about opportunities for youth involvement in their community and government.
Attendees can expect to find booths set up with information on the YAC's role and how they work closely with Council members to make a positive impact in the community. The summit will also highlight how young voices can make a difference on important issues that affect the youth of Columbia.

In addition, there will be resources available for those interested in getting involved in the community through volunteer work or job opportunities. And what's a summit without some refreshments? Attendees can enjoy pizza, beverages, and snacks while learning about ways to make a difference in their city.
