(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The City of Columbia is set to host its monthly Let's Talk Local discussion on March 19 at the Thornbrook Clubhouse. The event, which will run from 6-7:30 p.m., will feature Ward 5 Council Member Don Waterman as the guest speaker.
The focus of this month's discussion will be on recruitment efforts and staffing at the Columbia Police Department. Police Chief Jill Schlude will be presenting on the department's efforts to hire new officers and the new police academy.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions related to the topic or any other issues they may have. Refreshments will also be provided for those in attendance.
