(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The City of Columbia has announced that it will be accepting proposals for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) program funding starting April 21. This opportunity is open to all interested organizations and individuals who have projects that align with the City's 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan.
The deadline to submit a letter of intent for both FY 2026 and reallocated CDBG and HOME funds is May 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Full proposals must be submitted by May 9, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. It is important to note that late submissions will not be accepted for either deadline.
The City is expecting to receive approximately $1.1 million in CDBG funds and $500,000 in HOME funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for FY 2026. In addition, there will be up to $530,000 in carryover CDBG funds, $60,668.22 in CDBG-CV funds, and $400,000 in carryover HOME funds available for reallocation.

All proposals must support activities that are eligible under the CDBG and HOME programs. Those applying for reallocated funds should be prepared to begin work by summer of 2025 as priority will be given to projects that are ready to proceed quickly.
City staff will review project eligibility while the Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) will review criteria, application submission procedures, as well as project implementation and requirements.
