(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - Job Point, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing education, training, and employment assistance to individuals looking to enter the workforce, has announced the City of Columbia Public Works Street division as its 2025 Employer of the Year at their annual Awards Banquet on April 1.
The Street division has been a long-standing partner of Job Point, working together to create job opportunities for individuals in the community. One of their successful collaborations is through the Highway Maintenance & Repair program, which prepares students for careers in road maintenance and infrastructure work. Through internships, job trials, and full-time employment, the Street division has helped program participants gain real-world experience and advance their careers.

Richard Stone, City of Columbia Public Works engineering and operations manager expressed his appreciation for the partnership with Job Point. "The Street division values its collaboration with Job Point and the opportunities it provides to individuals who are eager to build careers in public works," he said. "We are proud to support workforce development efforts that strengthen our team while also helping people in our community achieve their career goals."
