(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia is offering residents the opportunity to get involved in local government by accepting applications for various boards and commissions. These positions allow individuals to represent the voices of their community and have a say in important decisions.

Interested applicants can find the necessary forms on the City's website, CoMo.gov. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Friday, August 8th, and all applications must be received by the City Clerk's Office.

There are currently openings for nine different boards and commissions, including the Board of Health, Building Construction Codes Commission, Citizens Police Review Board, Disabilities Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Personnel Advisory Board, Public Transit Advisory Commission, St. Charles Transportation Development District Board, and Tobacco Retailer License Review Board.
