(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The City of Columbia is offering residents the opportunity to get involved in local government by accepting applications for various boards and commissions. These positions are a way for citizens to represent their community and have a voice in decision-making processes.

Interested individuals can find the application on the City's website, CoMo.gov, and must submit it to the City Clerk's Office by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 8. The City currently has openings on several boards and commissions including the Bicycle/Pedestrian Commission, Building Construction Codes Commission, Citizens Police Review Board, Community Land Trust Organization Board, Convention and Visitors Advisory Board, Finance Advisory and Audit Committee, Mayor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health, and Public Transit Advisory Commission.
